World Famous Pianist - Not!

Hi it's Meagan,okay- so I'm not famous yet, but I'm working on it. Tabby Hymer just moved down from Arkansas. She's an awesome piano teacher(she also teaches voice and violin) so I recently started lessons with her. Actually, I'm not very good at playing the piano at all, but hopefully she'll help me with that. So maybe one day you can look for me at Branson!(that was a joke). But hey, with Tabby, who knows. . .

Peter Pan

Here's Justus with one of his favorite things in the world-right now, his Peter Pan hat.
Justus attended a month long camp at Baylor this summer, and each week they had a dress up day for the kids. One week it was Disney characters. Justus wanted to be Peter Pan, so with my feeble sewing skills I made a Peter Pan costume. When it was done I thought it was OK, but Justus thought it was great, especially the hat. He wore that hat literally everyday for the next month!
I'm so glad I made it for him. I don't think either one of us will ever forget that hat.

Cool New Baby Products

Here's the baby princess in her new Bumbo that Deanna bought for her.
When Deanna first showed me the Bumbo I thought it was for the bath tub.
She then had to explain that this is a hot new product in the baby world. You just set the baby in it and it's light weight so you can move it from room to room. The other cool new thing I love right now is my sling (you can see a picture of it on Vanessa's blog) Boy,
baby products sure have improved over the last 15 yrs!

Progress: Slow but Sure

Dana requested picts of the house. Here's one of the outside. Hopefully in Sept. we can put the hardy plank on the outside of the house and take down those hideous scaffolds. The other pict is of my new kitchen. Zach recently had granite countertops installed. Quite an upgrade from the plywood ones I had for awhile.

The Baby Princess

Here's Gretch with the Baby Princess-Gretchen's name for Summer.
Summer is almost 2 months now, and is smiling on a regular basis.
She has the whole family wrapped around her tiny finger. People say
you couldn't possibly love the 6th child as much as the first. All I can say
is that person has never had 6 children.

Inspired...
Vanessa's blogging has inspired me to create a blog myself. Since we live away from all family,
I thought it would be nice to keep everyone updated on the happenings out here on the prairie:)
Our kids are growing up on us at a very fast pace, for those of you who don't see them often -
you miss a lot. Hopefully, by the creation of this blog, you all will have a peek in to life on the prairie.
